Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Thursday appealed to the youth to contribute in nation building by following Gandhian philosophy. It is now the duty of young generation to bring a revolutionary change in the society with the help of ideologies of Gandhiji, he said.
Baghel was addressing inaugural session of a three-day long national seminar commenced here at Pt Ravishankar Shukla University Auditorium on Thursday. The seminar had been organised to mark the 150th anniversary of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi.
Speaking on the occasion, the CM recalled Gandhiji as a person who gave the interest of the nation top priority and made effort for emotional integration of India as one nation. He also remembered him for his works for alleviation and uplift of poor and downtrodden.
He further asserted that the philosophy of Gandhiji was still relevant today, they remained in past and will continue to be relevant in future, he added.
The programme was presided over by former chief secretary of undivided Madhya Pradesh Sharad Chandra Behar while distinguished Gandhian thinkers, freedom fighters, thinkers and intellectuals attended the programme.
