A 22-year-old pregnant girl in Jharkhand’s Hazaribagh died after she was knocked down twice as she sought to cease workers of a finance firm from seizing her father’s tractor on Thursday, police stated.
In accordance with police, farmer Mithilesh Kumar Mehta had taken a mortgage from a finance firm in 2018 and was speculated to pay it again in 44 instalments of Rs 14,300 every. Mehta paid the instalments till the Covid-19 lockdown was imposed, after which he was unable make the funds, police stated.

Police stated that when the finance firm workers reached Mehta’s house, they tried to take the “entrance finish of the engine”. Monika Kumari, Mehta’s daughter who was two months pregnant, sought to cease them.
Police stated that Mehta and Monika chased the staff. “At one place, the farmer and his daughter confronted them and an argument broke out, after which the lady was mowed down twice by a automobile and the accused ran away,” stated the police officer. She was rushed to Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences, Ranchi, the place docs declared her lifeless.
