Earlier on Wednesday, the India Meteorological Division (IMD) had predicted intense to very intense rain in Mumbai, Palghar, Thane, and Raigad districts. Navi Mumbai and Thane have been placed on Orange alert, whereas Mumbai is on Yellow alert.
