An investigation into the deaths of eleven children in Madhya Pradesh, attributed to a contaminated cough syrup, has led to the arrest of a local doctor. Dr. Praveen Soni, a pediatrician practicing in Parasia, is accused of prescribing the ‘Coldrif’ cough syrup to the children. Srisan Pharmaceuticals, a pharmaceutical company located in Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu, which manufactured the cough syrup, is also facing legal charges from the Madhya Pradesh government.
