Anticipating Holi revelry, Gautam Buddh Nagar’s Food Safety Department has ramped up surveillance, seizing samples of eight festive staples from local vendors. District Magistrate-mandated raids by inspection teams focused on high-risk items like sweets and dairy products, now bound for forensic examination.
Public safety tops the agenda, ensuring festival treats meet stringent standards. Assistant Commissioner Food Second Suresh Mishra outlined the intensified campaign. Mukesh Kumar and Vijay Bahadur Patel’s duo started with prepared dal.
Khoya from a Greater Noida Ecotech-3 shop joined the list. Dankaur saw namkeen and khoya samples from separate locations via Ravindra Nath Verma and Malti. Barola’s Sector-49 outlet provided kalakand and besan laddus to O.P. Singh and S.K. Pandey.
Sector-63 Noida’s gujiya and Dadri dairy’s ghee rounded out the eight, collected by Amar Bahadur Saroj-Ritu Saxena and Vishal Gupta-Syed Ibadullah respectively. Mishra vowed ongoing checks, with food safety act violations facing heavy fines and closures.
This preemptive action promises a worry-free Holi, prioritizing quality and health for the district’s celebrants.
