The Aam Aadmi Party has accused the Haryana government of creating a system where farmers are being cheated in the name of land pooling. AAP claims that the policy, implemented through the e-Bhumi portal, favors brokers and builders. They assert that the government is acquiring land without providing fair compensation, often forcing farmers to accept prices based on circle rates, which are significantly lower than the market value. AAP further alleges that BJP leaders and ministers have acquired significant land holdings in areas where the policy is being implemented, raising concerns about potential misuse of power and insider trading. They describe the policy as a model of exploitation, built on the backs of farmers, with the aim of turning the state into a corporate project.
