Delhi BJP has gone on the offensive against AAP’s Saurabh Bharadwaj, charging him with a grave insult to the Constitution, Dalits, and Adivasis through his disparaging take on past and present presidents. Party chief Virender Sachdeva’s ultimatum to Arvind Kejriwal—apologize and expel—has ignited a fresh political firestorm.
In a pointed media interaction, Sachdeva ripped into Bharadwaj’s conference soundbites, particularly the jibe at Ram Nath Kovind and Droupadi Murmu’s presidencies. ‘This is no mere slip; it’s a calculated affront to SC-ST dignity and Ambedkar’s legacy, scripted at Kejriwal’s behest,’ he declared.
Highlighting national pride in Kovind’s Dalit representation and Murmu’s tribal milestone, Sachdeva argued Bharadwaj’s ‘search-and-place’ sarcasm undermines these historic feats. ‘Their tenures honor every marginalized Indian—AAP’s rhetoric betrays pettiness,’ he added.
Simultaneously, Bharadwaj fired shots on X against Nitin Nabain’s BJP Delhi presidency install, dubbing it a facade of puppetry under singular dominance. The event, graced by Modi, Shah, and Nadda, showcased BJP cohesion.
As barbs fly, this clash exposes deeper ideological battles over representation and power. BJP casts itself as guardian of social equity, contrasting AAP’s pointed power critiques. Voter reactions, especially from SC-ST groups, will be pivotal. Sachdeva’s demands pressure AAP into a corner, promising prolonged drama in the run-up to polls.
