A massive traffic jam on the Indore-Dewas route of the Agra-Mumbai National Highway, lasting over 32 hours, has led to three fatalities. The congestion, spanning about 8 kilometers, was caused by overbridge construction and service road diversions near Arjun Baroda. The situation was worsened by persistent rain that created significant potholes. Those who lost their lives were identified as Kamal Panchal, Balram Patel, and Sandeep Patel. Kamal Panchal, who was stuck for 90 minutes, was declared dead at a private hospital in Dewas. Both Balram Patel and Sandeep Patel succumbed to heart attacks. Following the incidents, the National Highway Authority (NHAI) is expediting service road construction, and vehicles are being rerouted to alleviate the bottleneck.
