More than 26,000 pilgrims have visited the Amarnath cave shrine in the last two days, marking a significant influx of devotees for the ongoing Yatra. The pilgrimage is drawing visitors from across the country. Authorities are implementing stringent security measures. Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha praised the collaborative efforts of the administration, security forces, local residents, and the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board. The Yatra commenced on July 3 and will last for 38 days, concluding on August 9. Over 350,000 pilgrims have registered online. Pilgrims are being provided with RFID tags for safety and tracking, and 34 lodging centers are available for the pilgrims.
