During a recent address, Home Minister Amit Shah announced that the Modi government’s policies had resulted in a 75% reduction in violence across key regions, including Jammu and Kashmir, the Northeast, and Naxal-affected areas, over the past decade. Shah emphasized the zero-tolerance approach towards terrorism and extremism as a key factor, highlighting actions such as surgical strikes and Operation Sindoor. He also projected that Naxalism would be completely finished by 2026. Shah noted that the government’s initiatives were impactful, with operations against insurgents yielding positive results. He added that the government aims to eradicate Left-wing extremism from India by March 2026.
