Andhra Pradesh is set to become India’s first fully digital state administration, with Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu announcing that all government services will be available online by August 15th. This move seeks to simplify citizens’ access to government functions and eliminate the necessity of physical visits to offices. Currently, citizens can access 503 services online, including via WhatsApp. The digital governance initiative extends to innovative services like voice-activated bookings for state transport, providing instant access to bus schedules and bookings. Moreover, the government is building a real-time data infrastructure to monitor crucial environmental data, offering early warnings for cyclones, floods, and other natural disasters. The CM emphasized the accuracy improvements through real-time data use in managing environmental challenges.
