As part of his ongoing three-day tour, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is in Assam. After a visit to Manipur, where he launched several projects in Mizoram and Churachandpur, the Prime Minister arrived in Assam. He attended the event celebrating the 100th birth anniversary of the renowned singer-composer Bhupen Hazarika. A significant day of his visit, September 14th, will focus on Assam’s advancement. Projects totaling over Rs. 18,530 crore are planned for either inauguration or foundation laying. In Darrang, a Medical College and Hospital, a Nursing College, and the Guwahati Ring Road Project will have their foundation stones laid. In Golaghat, the Assam Bioethanol Plant at Numaligarh Refinery Limited will be inaugurated to support clean energy initiatives. Additionally, the foundation stone for the Polypropylene Plant at Numaligarh Refinery will be laid, with the aim of stimulating the local economy and job creation.
