Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla and the crew of the Dragon spacecraft are preparing for their return to Earth, with a splashdown planned for July 15. The spacecraft undocked from the International Space Station (ISS) on Monday. Shambhu Dayal Shukla, Shubhanshu’s father, shared his pride and anticipation: “We are very happy that the undocking took place safely. We expect that the landing will also take place smoothly. We have faith in the Almighty. We are all very proud of our son. The country is very proud of him that he is coming back after successfully completing the mission.” Asha Shukla, his mother, also conveyed her wishes for a safe landing. Shukla contributed to scientific and technical research during his time on the ISS. He also delivered a farewell speech referencing Rakesh Sharma’s iconic words.
