Pomil Jain, Vipin Jain, and Apurva Chavda have been granted bail by the Andhra Pradesh High Court in connection with the alleged supply of adulterated ghee to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD). The court’s decision was influenced by what it perceived as serious flaws in the investigation. The court concluded that the continued detention of the accused was unwarranted, prompting their release. The defence team, led by Senior Advocate S. Sriram and Advocate Sushil Kumar, successfully argued the case, pointing out multiple issues in the investigation’s conduct. These issues included the initial treatment of the accused as witnesses before their subsequent arrest, and the delayed filing of FIRs regarding witness intimidation. The case involves allegations of adulterated ghee being delivered to the temple, originating from Bhole Baba Organic Dairy, passing through Vyshnavi Dairy, and supplied by AR Dairy to the TTD.
