Following a period of toll-free travel, the Bengaluru-Chennai Expressway, spanning 71 km in Karnataka, has begun toll collection. As of September 4th, the NHAI is collecting tolls along the route from Hedigenbale, near Hoskote, to Sundarpalya, near KGF. Car users face a toll of Rs 185 for a one-way journey from Hedigenbale to Sundarpalya, and Rs 275 for a return trip. The toll structure also includes Rs 190 for a one-way trip from Sundarpalya to Hedigenbale, and Rs 280 for a round trip. Fees for other vehicles such as LCVs, LGVs, minibuses, trucks, and buses can reach a maximum of Rs 955. Toll plazas are situated at Hedigenbale, Agrahara, Krishnarajapura and Sundarpalya. Users with a Fastag annual pass priced at Rs 3,000 can use the expressway. The expressway is built to accommodate speeds up to 120 kmph. While the Karnataka section is operational now, the entire project’s full completion is anticipated by July 2026. Monthly passes for cars are available at Rs 6,105 (50 one-way trips) and Rs 6,260 (round trips).
