Vishnu Deo Sai, the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, announced a significant investment of 241.50 crore rupees for various development projects in Bhilai. He indicated that the State Capital Region would positively impact Raipur, Durg, Bhilai, and Rajnandgaon, fostering faster development and expansion of urban services. During the announcement, the CM also declared a 20 crore rupee allocation for a new office building for the Bhilai Municipal Corporation. The Chief Minister highlighted the government’s extensive support for urban development, emphasizing the swift growth of urban amenities. He mentioned the establishment of the Good Governance and Convergence Department in the state to ensure good governance and accountability, making the administration digital and transparent for the benefit of the public. Sai also reported the initiation of Atal Digital Seva Kendras in 1460 gram panchayats, with an aim to add 5,000 more within the next six months. Furthermore, he stated that by April 24, 2026, all gram panchayats in Chhattisgarh will have Atal Digital Seva Kendras, coinciding with Panchayati Raj Day.
