A strong earthquake jolted Afghanistan once more. The quake, which struck late Thursday, measured 5.8 on the Richter scale. The country had previously been hit by a devastating earthquake earlier in the week, resulting in over 2,000 deaths and substantial destruction. Simultaneously, Bhutan’s Prime Minister, Dasho Tshering Tobgay, is set to visit Ayodhya on Friday. His itinerary includes offering prayers at the Ram Temple. According to Nikhil Tikaram Funde, the District Magistrate of Ayodhya, the local administration is preparing a lavish reception for the visiting dignitary. A special luncheon has been arranged at an Ayodhya hotel in his honor. The welcoming party is likely to include Uttar Pradesh’s Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi and some Union Ministers. Furthermore, northern regions are grappling with relentless heavy rainfall. The rising water level of the Yamuna River is also posing difficulties for Delhi.
