Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the Kaushal Deekshant Samaroh 2025 at Vigyan Bhawan in Delhi, where he introduced a series of youth-focused programs and recognized 46 outstanding Industrial Training Institute students. The ceremony was the fourth National Skill Convocation. PM Modi congratulated the students and emphasized India’s advancements in skill development. Two significant education and skill development projects were announced, including the PM-SETU scheme, which involves an investment of Rs 60,000 crore. PM Modi also inaugurated the Jan Nayak Karpoori Thakur Skill University in Bihar, aiming to boost industry-oriented and vocational education, and acknowledged Karpoori Thakur’s legacy. He highlighted the ongoing efforts to modernize Bihar’s educational infrastructure and the state government’s support for students through the Student Credit Card, which now includes interest-free education loans and increased scholarships.
