Nitish Kumar’s decision to head to Rajya Sabha has supercharged Bihar’s already charged political atmosphere. Tejashwi Yadav, RJD stalwart and opposition leader, launched a blistering offensive against the BJP, accusing it of aping Maharashtra by shoving Nitish aside to plant its own rubber-stamp CM.
During assembly proceedings, Yadav laid bare the BJP’s alleged game plan. ‘They hijacked Nitish ages ago; it’s all exposed now. Bihar’s mood is against it—BJP’s standard ally-crushing routine,’ he stated. Invoking RSS ideology, he slammed BJP for subverting elections via a partisan Election Commission.
‘People of Bihar aren’t blind. Full sympathy for Nitish’s torment—it’s democracy’s betrayal.’ Insisting BJP tormented Nitish into exit to kill JD(U), Yadav rallied against the perceived conspiracy.
Lalu’s daughter Rohini Acharya joined via X: ‘Nitish’s self-inflicted doom from ally betrayals. BJP’s coercion peaked after his Jan 28 Mahagathbandhan exit, making him a tool for their partner-grave-digging expertise.’
With NDA fissures widening, this rhetoric signals opposition resurgence. Nitish’s move opens doors for BJP maneuvers, but Yadav’s narrative frames it as overreach, galvanizing anti-BJP sentiment. As stakeholders jockey, Bihar braces for alliance shake-ups with national implications.
