Thursday brought cheers to Bihar’s police modernization campaign as the government approved a Rs 172.80 crore project for the ERSS and State Police Data Center building. Situated in Patna’s Rajiv Nagar police station jurisdiction, the development was revealed by Deputy CM Samrat Chaudhary.
The investment will yield a fully equipped facility, promoting efficiency in daily operations and elevating the work conditions for police staff. Chaudhary asserted, ‘It will significantly reinforce law enforcement and emergency response systems.’
Understanding ERSS: It’s the national framework behind the 112 emergency line, featuring control centers that process urgent communications for immediate action.
Bihar’s proactive stance is evident in parallel projects like the Patna IPS Mess, East Champaran SP office, Rohtas Dihri armory, and Lakhisarai’s women police barracks. The NDA regime under CM Nitish Kumar prioritizes state-of-the-art setups to empower its law keepers.
Looking ahead, this infrastructure leapfrog will likely improve public trust in emergency services. By merging technology with robust buildings, Bihar is crafting a resilient policing model that could inspire nationwide reforms.
