The Bihar government is set to initiate the recruitment process for 1800 vacant positions of assistant professors in medical colleges within the next few months, according to Health Minister Mangal Pandey. The government will also implement a system where postings for doctors will be based on their desired locations. This information was revealed during an event where appointment letters were distributed to newly appointed medical professionals. The Health Minister highlighted the recent appointment of approximately 1400 doctors in the last ten days, which he termed a record. The state is also working on appointing Ayush doctors, and 4500 Community Health Officers (CHOs) are expected to be appointed in the next month and a half.
