A distressing case from Bhagalpur, Bihar, involves the death of Anant Kumar, son of a home guard, due to poisoning. The family accuses the wife and her family of homicide. Anant, who had a love marriage, reportedly gave his in-laws 6 lakh rupees and was seeking its return. Before his death, Anant recorded a video alleging his wife, Kirti Mishra, her family members, and a police officer from Bhawanipur police station were responsible for his poisoning. He stated that he was framed in a false case. In a subsequent video, he addressed his wife, stating he was departing the world and requesting the return of the 6 lakh rupees spent over five years. Anant’s father, Vivekananda Chaudhary, stated that his daughter-in-law, her mother, and other family members poisoned his son.
