Authorities in Bhagalpur, Bihar, are searching for a teacher accused of abducting two female students from his school. The incident took place in the Rusulpur area, where Hariom Yadav, a teacher at Jawaharlal Nehru High School Dhanoura, is suspected of absconding with the ninth-grade students. The families of the missing girls have accused Yadav of grooming them, providing them with mobile phones, and maintaining regular communication. The parents reported the teacher’s behavior to the school administration, but no action was taken promptly. The teacher then fled with the students. Police investigations include reviewing CCTV footage and conducting raids at potential locations. The police have registered a case of abduction and are actively working to locate the students and arrest the accused. The education department is also involved in the matter, promising to take appropriate action. The mother of one of the students stated that Hariom Yadav also gave tuitions to the girls. The incident has caused widespread condemnation, with authorities promising a swift resolution.
