Bhagalpur Youth Takes Own Life Following Girlfriend’s Demand

In a tragic incident from Bhagalpur district, a 19-year-old man named Deepak committed suicide after his girlfriend allegedly challenged him to prove his love by taking his own life. Deepak, who lived in a rented accommodation in Khajarpur, worked at a private clinic. He had met the girl a month earlier at a wedding, and their relationship developed rapidly. Reports indicate that he had spent approximately Rs 50,000 on her. When the girl abruptly ceased communication, Deepak became deeply troubled. His friends discovered messages on his phone in which he begged her to respond. Allegedly, she replied, “Prove your love and die for me.” Soon after, Deepak ingested poison. His father, upon being informed, rushed to the hospital where Deepak was admitted but sadly, he did not survive.
