In Bihar’s political arena, the discussion surrounding the Chief Ministerial candidate has resurfaced. RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav has made it clear that the Mahagathbandhan will not enter the election fray without a pre-defined Chief Ministerial candidate. He added a comment, alluding to the BJP’s approach to elections. This statement was made during his ‘Adhikar Yatra,’ a tour of regions where his earlier opposition yatra had not reached.
Tejashwi Yadav had previously supported Rahul Gandhi as the Prime Ministerial candidate for the opposition. However, Rahul Gandhi hasn’t yet declared Tejashwi as the Chief Ministerial candidate for the Mahagathbandhan in Bihar. Tejashwi responded by saying that the public will make the decision. He stated that being a Chief Minister or forming a government isn’t the sole objective, the real goal is to develop Bihar. He also indicated that the Chief Ministerial candidate will be determined after the seat distribution is settled.
