The Bihar government, led by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, has launched the Mukhyamantri Mahila Rozgar Yojana to provide financial empowerment to women across all communities in the state. This initiative, approved at a recent cabinet meeting, aims to facilitate self-employment for women, marking a first-of-its-kind effort. The scheme’s design incorporates suggestions received during these discussions, particularly those related to women’s financial independence and the establishment of marriage boards.
