A resident of Bihar has been sentenced to 10 years in prison and a 500,000-rupee fine for a second offense related to alcohol smuggling. Special Judge Shefali Narayan of the Araria Exclusive Excise Court handed down the sentence. The court also stated that if the convict, Pramod Yadav, fails to pay the fine, he will be incarcerated for an additional year. The case, originating from Narpatganj (Bathnaha) police station, involved the seizure of alcohol from Yadav’s property. The FIR was filed by Police Inspector Chhote Lal Chauhan. This marks the second time Yadav has been found guilty of such a crime.
