In response to the escalating cybercrime rate, Bihar is preparing to establish cyber forensic labs in Patna and Rajgir. The labs will be set up in collaboration with the CID’s Forensic Science Lab (FSL). A special team from the National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU) in Gujarat will offer consultation and technical expertise. The NFSU is renowned for its specialized programs in forensic science research. The labs will enable scientific investigation of cyber incidents, assist in gathering crucial evidence, and streamline the prosecution of cybercriminals. The labs are particularly important given the increasing reliance on digital evidence under the new BNS (Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita).
