A surprising situation has unfolded in Bihar, where two Pakistani women were found listed on the draft voter list in Bhagalpur. This occurred despite the women having reportedly entered India around seven decades ago. The Ministry of Home Affairs’ investigation, which focused on identifying foreign nationals overstaying their visas, uncovered this anomaly. The individuals in question, Imrana Khanam and Firdousia Khanam, had voter ID cards registered under their names in Tank Lane, and they were also verified during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) procedure. The presence of these names on the voter list, coupled with their verification, has triggered a response from the authorities.
