Bihar Women Receive Financial Boost from Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana

Under the Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana, Prime Minister Narendra Modi initiated the direct transfer of funds to 75 lakh women in Bihar. Each beneficiary received Rs 10,000 to support their self-employment endeavors, with a total disbursement of Rs 7,500 crore. The scheme, introduced by the Bihar government, focuses on fostering women’s empowerment and economic independence. It aims to provide financial aid to women, allowing them to engage in diverse livelihood activities. The initiative includes an initial grant of Rs 10,000 per beneficiary, with potential for further financial support up to Rs 2 lakh. The funds can be utilized for various sectors like agriculture, handicrafts, and small businesses. The scheme emphasizes community involvement through Self Help Groups, providing training and market access via Gramin Haat-Bazaars. The launch of the scheme was marked by a state-wide program, involving women across various administrative divisions in Bihar.
