Bihar is rapidly transforming its agricultural landscape through the adoption of cutting-edge technologies and scientific approaches. The state’s banana production surge is a testament to this transformation. The production of bananas in Bihar has increased more than three times over the last two decades. This growth is a direct result of the Bihar government’s efforts and the hard work of the farmers, reflecting the state’s agricultural policies and innovative technologies. The total banana production in 2004-05 was 5.45 lakh metric tons, and by 2022-23, this figure had increased to 19.68 lakh metric tons.
