The Bihar government is broadening its Mukhyamantri Nishchay Swayam Sahayata Bhatta Yojana to encompass unemployed graduates. Initially introduced in 2016 as part of the state’s ‘Seven Resolves’ program, the scheme offered a monthly allowance of ₹1,000 for a maximum of two years to unemployed individuals aged 20-25 who had passed their 12th standard. The program aims to support young people in their search for employment. The program, which has been extended until 2025-26, will now also benefit graduates from recognized universities, colleges, and institutions in the Arts, Science, and Commerce streams. To be eligible, graduates must be between 20-25 years of age, not be employed (whether in a government, private, or non-governmental organization), not be pursuing further education, and actively seeking employment.
