In a tribute to Swami Sahajanand Saraswati, the BJP has initiated a campaign to award him the Bharat Ratna, India’s highest civilian honor. The party is also proposing to rename the Bihta Airport in Patna in his honor. This announcement was made during a ceremony held at the BIA Hall in Patna to commemorate Swami Sahajanand Saraswati’s death anniversary. The event was presided over by Ravindra Ranjan, the head of the Swami Sahajanand Kisan Vahini, and a BJP leader. Dr. Dilip Jaiswal, the BJP state president, inaugurated the ceremony, highlighting the continued significance of Swami Sahajanand’s contributions. Jaiswal praised Swami Sahajanand for his efforts in uniting farmers on a national scale, which brought them into the political forefront. He also acknowledged Sahajanand’s role in the abolition of the Zamindari system and his unwavering support for the underprivileged. Ravindra Ranjan further emphasized the demand for recognizing either the birth or death anniversary of Sahajanand as National Farmers Day. He also appealed for incorporating Sahajanand’s philosophies in educational curricula and establishing an agricultural university dedicated to his legacy. Ranjan highlighted the unwavering support of Sahajanand’s followers within the BJP.
