In a significant announcement, Chirag Paswan revealed his plan to contest all 243 seats in the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections. Speaking at a rally in Ara, Paswan highlighted his dedication to bolstering the NDA coalition and securing its success. He positioned himself as a candidate fighting ‘for Bihar’ rather than ‘from Bihar,’ placing the decision of his constituency in the hands of the electorate. Paswan also criticized the RJD and Congress, arguing that they shared responsibility for the ‘jungle raj’. He reacted to Rahul Gandhi’s remarks regarding the Election Commission, suggesting Gandhi’s acceptance of defeat. He also stated that he does not seek the Chief Minister’s position and that his party will decide whether he contests the election.
