The inclusion of two Pakistani women in Bihar’s voter list has sparked controversy and concern. The women, who are believed to have immigrated to India several decades ago, were identified during a Ministry of Home Affairs verification process. The investigation unveiled that Imrana Khanam (Imrana Khatoon) and Firdousia Khanam, residents of Tank Lane, had obtained voter ID cards. Furthermore, their names were verified during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) ahead of the upcoming 2025 assembly elections. The Booth Level Officer (BLO) confirmed that the election department had notified them of the issue based on official communication from the Home Ministry dated August 11.
