A startling incident unfolded in Vaishali, Bihar, on Saturday morning when a truck crashed into the convoy of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav, the former Deputy Chief Minister of the state. The accident occurred near Goraul while Yadav was en route to Patna from a political event in Madhepura. The convoy had paused for a rest stop on the Patna-Muzaffarpur highway around 12:30 AM when the truck struck two of the security vehicles. While Yadav was having tea a short distance away, he escaped any harm. However, three security personnel were injured and promptly transported to a nearby hospital. Local police arrested the truck driver at the scene, and an investigation is underway to determine the cause of the accident. The incident has sparked discussions regarding the security measures for politicians traveling long distances on Bihar’s roads. Yadav, after checking on the injured and expressing his concern, is safe and has resumed his regular schedule.
