An accident involving the convoy of RJD leader and former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav occurred early Saturday morning in Vaishali district. A speeding truck struck two vehicles in the convoy near Goraul, as Yadav was returning from a political event in Madhepura. The convoy had halted for a tea break at around 12:30 AM on the Patna-Muzaffarpur highway when the incident took place. Yadav was a few meters away at the time and was not injured. Three security personnel sustained injuries and were immediately taken to a hospital. Yadav later visited the injured officials to check on their condition. Police arrested the truck driver on the spot and took the vehicle into custody. An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the accident, though initial reports suggest potential issues such as speeding. The incident has sparked discussions about the safety of political leaders during travel in Bihar, particularly during late-night journeys. RJD members have expressed relief that Yadav was safe and called for improved road safety measures and stricter traffic rule enforcement.
