A bizarre situation unfolded in Bihar’s East Champaran district, leading to a train halt for about 30 minutes. The delay was triggered by a dog that had been secured inside a women’s compartment on the Raxaul-Samastipur passenger train. The unexpected presence of the dog, tied to a seat, caused alarm among the passengers, who disembarked from the carriage. The train manager was informed, prompting the arrival of RPF and station staff. Following an investigation and the sealing of the compartment, the train resumed its course. The dog was later transferred to the Animal Welfare Board of Darbhanga by the DRM of Samastipur division.
