Deepti, the victim, recounted her ordeal to the police, stating that her marriage took place in 2021. After a period of initial normalcy, her in-laws began harassing her for various items and subjected her to physical abuse. When she couldn’t meet their demands, they pressured her to give a kidney to her husband, who was suffering from a kidney ailment. Despite the police’s attempts to mediate a resolution, the situation remains unresolved. The woman has sought a divorce, which her husband has denied, leading to a police case against the husband and three other family members.
