In light of Independence Day on August 15th, followed by Chehlum on August 16th, which is observed by the Muslim community, the Bihar Police is taking extensive precautions. Additional police forces are being deployed in specific areas with significant populations. Meetings have been held with SPs, DMs, and magistrates to ensure a peaceful environment during religious events. The police are implementing comprehensive video surveillance of Taziyah processions during Chehlum to enable immediate action against any disturbances. Peace committees have been established with police officials in Muslim-dominated areas to facilitate peaceful observances. A strict ban on DJs has also been enforced.
