The weather in Odisha is set to remain tumultuous, with the IMD forecasting heavy to very heavy rainfall and thunderstorms for the next five days. The existing low-pressure area has diminished, but a fresh cyclonic circulation is anticipated over the north Bay of Bengal, near Bangladesh and West Bengal, around June 29. Consequently, another low-pressure area is likely to form, intensifying rainfall from June 30. The IMD has issued alerts, with yellow warnings for districts such as Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sambalpur, and Mayurbhanj, indicating the possibility of heavy rain. Additionally, many districts are under watch for thunderstorms and gusty winds. The forecast includes orange and yellow warnings for different districts, signifying varying intensities of heavy to very heavy rainfall over the next several days.
