The Islamia Madrassa in the Laguwa-Dasgram Panchayat of Katihar, Bihar, has been closed for a week due to a significant snake infestation. More than a dozen poisonous snakes have been discovered within the madrassa premises in the last two days. The local headmaster reported that the snakes were identified as ‘gehunvan’ snakes, which are highly venomous. The headmaster mentioned that snake charmers from West Bengal were called in to remove the snakes, but the incidents have not stopped. The situation has created panic among the students and staff.
