A disturbing case has emerged in Patna where a woman has accused a man of love jihad, fraud, assault, and forced religious conversion. According to the complaint filed at the women’s police station, the accused, a PG student, initially presented himself as a Hindu, using the alias ‘Sonu,’ and cultivated a relationship with the victim. After three years, he allegedly revealed his true identity and began pressuring her to convert to Islam. The victim reported that she was subjected to forced religious practices, including being fed beef and made to perform Namaaz. When she refused, the accused married another woman. The victim was also allegedly assaulted by the accused’s family when she confronted them. The FIR, filed after a delay, includes charges of rape, fraud, and kidnapping, but not love jihad. Police are currently investigating the allegations.
