A flood situation has developed in various parts of Nalanda district, Bihar, forcing people to seek refuge in safer locations. The crisis is attributed to the sudden increase in the water level of the Falgu River, a consequence of intense rainfall in the adjacent state of Jharkhand. The surge in water levels has damaged sections of minor dams, raising the specter of floods in Nalanda. Many areas are now submerged due to the overflowing Falgu River.
