The state of Bihar has welcomed new railway infrastructure and train services, including an express train, a Vande Bharat, and two Amrit Bharat trains. Prime Minister Narendra Modi initiated these services virtually from Purnia district. The event included the foundation stone laying for a new rail line between Vikramshila and Kataria, and the inauguration of a new rail line between Araria and Galgaliya (Thakurganj). The newly launched services encompass the Katihar-Siliguri Express, Jogbani-Danapur Vande Bharat Express, Saharsa-Chheharta (Amritsar) Amrit Bharat Express, and Jogbani-Erode Amrit Bharat Express.
