In a move aimed at enhancing citizen convenience, the Bihar government has launched an online service for ration card applications. This initiative allows residents to apply for their ration cards from home, reducing the need for physical visits to government offices. The application process is available on the Rconline.bihar.gov.in website, and it involves a simple registration process followed by the submission of required documents. The ‘One Nation One Ration Card’ scheme allows cardholders to access their food rations from any Public Distribution System (PDS) shop across India. The online service not only saves time but also ensures transparency. Beneficiaries of the Antyodaya Anna Yojana receive 35 kg of grains per month, while priority households receive 5 kg of grains per person. The government has urged all eligible citizens to utilize this convenient service. The online system requires applicants to submit necessary documents like Aadhaar cards and bank passbooks.
