Odisha Government Names Saswat Mishra as Principal Secretary to CM After Rath Yatra Review

In the wake of a recent administrative restructuring prompted by the Saradhabali stampede, the Odisha government has designated Saswat Mishra, a 1996-batch IAS officer, as the Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Mohan Majhi. Mishra will maintain his current positions as Principal Secretary of the Finance Department and Chairman of IDCO. The position became available on May 2nd. Concurrently, the government named Arvind Agarwal as the overall in-charge of the Rath Yatra and Pinak Mishra as the new SP, while Chanchal Rana was appointed as Puri Collector.
