As part of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, the Odisha Excise Department wrapped up its month-long anti-addiction campaign with a large-scale Walkathon. The initiative, which began on No Tobacco Day, involved various departments, NGOs, and public figures. The campaign focused on educating the public about the dangers of addiction and the impact of illegal substances. The Walkathon, starting from Kalinga Stadium and ending at Janata Maidan, saw extensive participation from youth, students, and celebrities, all united in their support for a healthier society. Performances and speeches added to the event’s message of prevention and recovery.
