In a violent act, RJD leader Rajkumar Rai was murdered in Patna on Wednesday evening. The shooting took place around 10 PM near the Rajendra Nagar Terminal. Police confirmed the use of CCTV footage to identify the assailants, and an investigation is underway. Rai, also known as Ala Rai, was politically active and involved in property transactions. He was shot near his home and tried to seek safety inside a nearby shop, but unfortunately, he passed away en route to the hospital. Police reports indicate the attackers fired indiscriminately, with the shots also hitting a hotel. The police recovered six spent cartridges from the scene. Authorities are examining all aspects of the case, including Rai’s political engagements and land dealings, to uncover the motive behind the murder.
