Patna police arrested a suspect in a murder case, subsequently shooting him in the leg when he attempted to escape custody. The arrest was made in Lucknow on August 10th. The suspect, Anshu Kumar, is linked to the murder of Ramakant Yadav, a 50-year-old businessman involved in the sand mining industry, which occurred in the Ranitalab area. Kumar was being transported to a site where he had concealed the murder weapon when he tried to flee, prompting the police to open fire. He was hit in the leg and taken to a government hospital, where his condition is stable. The police have recovered the weapon used in the murder and have also confirmed that Kumar is wanted in connection with other criminal activities. In addition to the recent arrest, two other individuals have been apprehended, and a minor has been taken into custody in the ongoing investigation of the Ramakant Yadav murder.
